Blizzards
Blizzard conditions are triggered in certain latitudes when temperatures go below zero. Seasonal or not frequent destructive weather systems have debilitating impact on vulnerable communities like the marginalised people, indigenous people, livelihood insecure, children, frail and infirm, and so on. Agricultural output, to trade, economy, shipping taxation and public policy, public health are all included in the impact of climate change induced higher frequency of hydrometeorological extreme weather events. Climate Change has marked the more frequent occurrences of blizzard like conditions.
Blizzards occur not just in polar ice caps but in the heart of Manhattan in New York. Such extreme weather events bring the city's life to a halt. It has an impact on public transport, public health, and public finances. The need for inclusive public policy that does not divide the Haves and Have-Nots any further is not just mandatory but it is the way forward. Far sighted pragmatic counsel is so much needed in today's polity. Educating the politicians, it seems is the first task. In the day and age of climate induced hydrometeorological disasters day tuns into night bringing life upside down.
The sheer impact of a blizzard is seen on a remote dwelling in the heart of Switzerland. Its debilitating impact does not need more verbal descriptions.
Glacial melt in the mountains ... triggered by increasing temperatures trigger flooding on the lower slopes and blizzard like conditions for mountain dwellers.
Flash floods are triggered by glacial melt . Flash floods in mountainous landscapes account for loss of human lives, mudslides and landslides in lower altitudes decimation of economic infrastructure, and rebuilding / reconstruction has to be calibrated at the fiscal planning stage itself.
Blizzards cripple life around us. Anthropogenic factors of climate change exacerbate impact on All Creatures Great and Small... they pay a price for Man's mistakes.
Climate Change has one of the longest geological cycles but does not fail symmetry.
The need for sustainable development is underscored by the exacerbating impact of climate change on all creatures great and small.
Climate Change has an impact on natural history, biodiversity, agriculture, horticulture, traditional wisdom, habitat for wildlife, seasonal migration, water security, food security, livelihood security and the way we know Life to be.
The very sociology of Life is at threat from Climate Change. Conservation and sustainable development are the cornerstones of climate neutral life cycle.
Preparedness for Climate Change must be inclusive of people from all walks of life. Preparedness must include climate change adaptation by people from all walks of life.
Endangered species like snow leopards, Himalayan Bears, rabbits, foxes, birds of prey, and smaller birds, will all suffer from habitat loss, loss of prey base, genetic isolation, inbreeding, weakening of gene pool, lack of sustainable source population for progenation, and all these factors will lead to species extinction.... all because irresponsible but most intelligence species on Planet Earth has not adapted to his environment but has adapted Nature to his corrupt ways...
